Seasonality: Redfish (red drum) and speckled trout are the primary inshore targets in Mobile Bay in Mobile and Baldwin counties, Alabama, year-round, with redfish best in fall and seatrout most productive in spring and fall. Flounder are a fall-run species. Bluefish and sheepshead are cool-season species. Mobile Bay is one of Alabama's most important estuaries.
