Seasonality: Speckled trout and redfish are the primary inshore targets in East Matagorda Bay in Matagorda County, Texas, year-round, with seatrout best in spring and fall and redfish year-round with a fall peak. Flounder are a fall-run species. Sheepshead and black drum are cool-season species. Spanish mackerel are a warm-season nearshore visitor.
