Flat water on the inside, especially on low tide, and up to 7 foot waves on the outer sandbar 1/3rd of a mile offshore. Theres no surfing here but if we get a swell. Nice soft sand, beach is 10-15m wide, but just bushes behind the beach. There is enough space to land/launch set up. Just a 150m hike from the parking to the beach.
Bring a wetsuit for cold days, but only a few days is it necessary. Season is October to April. From October to February the water temperature will go from 79-60°F if we get a cold front, so bring a wetsuit if you get cold on this kind of weather, also bring diving shoes to protect your feet from stingrays or sea urchins. From March to June the water will be at 75-80°F so a wetsuit is not necessary.
The area is amazing in general: nice and clear beaches (but sometimes overcrowded), lots to do, the weather is nice. I'd recommend visiting this place in summer as almost everything is working there, sports schools included. Speaking about activities, there is an access to fishing, cycling, sailing, kiting and lots of other things. If you'd like stay there for a bit longer, I'd recommend staying at Silver Sands Beach Resort, I found acceptable for its price. The food in this area is also great, especially at Milanezza or Costa Med. The seafood is delicious!
