You can learn kitesurfing on your own, but it is more effective to learn it in a kite school or a camp with professional teachers. In this article, we share with you a list of the best kitesurfing schools and camps in Europe, probably the best place to learn and practice kitesurfing in the world. In particular, there are 10 schools and 3 camps, which will be suitable especially for beginners. To be as truthful as possible, we didn't describe them, but let them tell us about themselves.

Best kitesurf schools in Europe

The kite school as a rule is stationary, that is permanently located in one place on the spot, and offers training courses and individual and group lessons of different duration from a couple of hours. All the kite schools below are accredited by the International Kiteboarding Organization. After learning in these schools, the students will get their riding level certified and will have access to the vCard, the official kiteboarding certification, recognized by the IKO Community in more than 60 countries.

Rene-Egli, Fuerteventura, Spain

"René Egli, the founder of the school, was already a passionate windsurfer in 1978. After discovering the unique wind conditions at Playa Sotavento, we started to build the company in 1984. Out first warehouse with 8 boards and 30 riggs, and office were located in the Mini Club of Hotel Gorriones Fuerteventura from May onwards. In the first year, around 150 guests enjoyed the René's service, which grew into the largest wind- and kitesurfing school in the world on a site of 1.100 sq m with over 25,000 annual customers and a lot of other projects. For example, we organized for the 30+ consecutive times the Fuerteventura Windsurfing & Kiteboarding World Cup."

The kite camp is the same school, which includes a package of services: in addition to lessons, these are accommodation and equipment rental, but may also be many others. Unlike schools, camps are not tied to spots and can change them from time to time at the discretion of the organizer, but they also tend to be held in the same places. Sometimes schools also organize their own camps and provide other services, such as in the case of Kitesurfing Camp in Sardinia, Italy, in this article.
