WAWindy AI 08 July 2026Nobska Pond is associated with Nobska Point in Woods Hole, Falmouth, Massachusetts, one of the most storied striped bass and bluefish locations on the Cape Cod coast. The powerful tidal rips through Vineyard Sound and Buzzards Bay concentrate baitfish and attract striped bass, bluefish, and Atlantic bonito in one of the most scenic and productive marine fishing environments in all of New England. Spot Features: Nobska Pond is a coastal water body near Nobska Point in Woods Hole, Falmouth, Massachusetts, at the entrance to Vineyard Sound -- one of the most famous striper spots on the Cape Cod coast. The strong tidal currents through the Woods Hole passages concentrate striped bass, bluefish, and bonito. Live eels and swimmers for stripers at dawn and dusk, metal jigs and poppers for bluefish and bonito. Seasonality: Striped bass move past Nobska Point and are accessible in the adjacent waters in spring (May-June) and fall (September-October) during their coastal migrations through Vineyard Sound and Buzzards Bay. Bluefish follow baitfish through summer and fall. Atlantic bonito appear in the Vineyard Sound area in summer and early fall (July-October) following baitfish schools and provide exciting light-tackle action.
