We hire kayaks and boards by the half hour, hour and weekly at competitive rates. We have been kayaking and surfing from Steephill for the last 18 years (our family has lived in the Cove for the last 50 years) and know & understand all tidal and weather conditions. We are fully insured and the daily operation is run by a fully qualified surfer, sailor, SUP-er, life-guard and first aider. You have to be over 10 years old to hire a kayak or surf board; if weather/tide permits children from 5 years and above may be taken out by a parent/responsible adult in the kayaks. You have to be over 8 years old to hire a Body Board

Shanklin Sailing Club was founded in 1931. It is a small friendly club, with all the usual facilities: showers, changing rooms, club house and a gear store. We have 44 Sprint 15 catamarans and a small fleet of Picos. We race on Thursday evenings, Sunday mornings and Tuesday afternoons; but you can sail at any other time. We make regular cruising trips outside of the racing season, usually on a Sunday morning.
