SYH is the East Coast's leading independent marina, with 550 berths. Our own boatyard, maintenance, repair and chandlery facilities are complemented by top-class sailmaking, spar and rigging services, electronics, a sailing school, marine surveyor, brokerage and new boat sales, and inboard/outboard engineering. Visiting yachtsmen will receive a warm welcome at our famous lightship, clubhouse of the Haven Ports Yacht Club.

Golden-Eye is a new 785S Ribeye Sport, launched new May 2009. It is a ridged inflatable boat, similar to that used by the RNLI. It is powered by a Yamaha 250 H/P V6 Four Stroke outboard. Producing awsome speeds in excess of 50 knots. A trip on this is the most exillerating safe experience you can have on water. From the ultimate high speed manuvers to a rough white water rides to gentle cruising.

Our clubhouse, Lightvessel 87 offers a great atmosphere with excellent food and of course a friendly welcome from our Steward and his team. The East Anglian Sailing Trust (EAST), provides disabled East Anglians and their carers with regular opportunities to access and enjoy sailing activities whilst promoting enhanced independence, confidence and community involvement. EAST has no paid staff, and relies totally on its volunteers. This is supplemented by the continuing support it receives from local sailing organisations and their members, as well as funding from a number of sources, both local and national.

You will have the opportunity to go out on the Mary Amelia – a fully restored 34 foot long wooden 1914 Leigh Sailing Bawley. You will be able to get involved with sailing, learn a little more about the boat and the River Deben and it’s surrounding areas or you can simply relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. She is available for charter for day and weekend trips at only £600 per day. There are two single bunks, and two 3/4 sized bunks aboard, so we are able to offer weekend trips to a maximum of five people, however groups of up to 6 are welcome for day trips. We are also offering evening cruises for £300. All cruises will usually start from our farm in Ramsholt although we can arrange to begin from other locations on the East Coast (such as Woodbridge, Walderingfield or Felixstowe depending on the tide) upon request, although please note that this is likely to incur an extra charge.

Deben Cruises welcomes you to Waldringfield where you are welcomed aboard the Jahan for a 2 hour boat journey along the river Deben, one of the most beautiful and scenic spots on the East Coast. The tidal Deben Estuary is a Special Protection Area and within the Suffolk Coast and Heaths area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Our on board commentary will tell of its rich wildlife and history. Deben Cruises is a family run business with trips departing twice daily on most days throughout the summer, from May through to mid October. Exclusive evening trips are also available.
