Bembridge Sailing Club has a rich history as one of the oldest sailing clubs in the United Kingdom, founded in 1886. Situated in Bembridge Harbour on the eastern end of the Isle of Wight and Solent approaches, the Club is supported by a membership base of some 1,300. The Club is active year-round, with a particularly vibrant summer season. We support three keelboat classes as well as a large dinghy fleet, and also members’ powerboat interests.

Cachalot Charters is operated & owned by husband and wife team Chris & Priscilla Solomon providing sea angling for experienced anglers, beginners, complete novices, school groups, clubs and individuals. The boat, licensed for twelve persons, is fully equipped and inspected annually and provides all the necessary safety and comfort for passengers and comes complete with toilet, galley, fore cabin and cabin. Bait, rods & reels can all be supplied. We can offer from a 2 hour Mackerel trip to 4, 6 or 8 hour deep sea, or longer more specialised trips.

With over 30 years experience, Will looks after boats from various local fleets including Seaview Mermaids, Bembridge Redwings, Bembridge Scows, Seaview Dinghies and Bembridge One Designs (BODs). We provide a wide range of services in-house through our multi-skilled team, including slipping and storage of boats up to 60 feet, rigging, wood & GRP laminate work, rib-tube repairs, marine electrical work and signwriting. Every year Sea View Yacht Club, home of the Mermaids charter fleet, welcomes over 2,000 guest sailors who delight in racing our fleet of 13 Mermaid 26-foot keelboats. The boats are of a classic ‘Solent’ design, but of modern construction and, with a selection of rig options, are ideal for highly-skilled sailors or beginners alike. Your clients, your team or other guests will enjoy an exceptional yacht racing or cruising experience, followed by first-rate onshore hospitality exclusively arranged for you at Sea View Yacht Club. The Club can cater for up to 200 guests. We offer a comprehensive range of in-house catering, ranging from full English breakfasts, informal lunches, to sunset BBQ’s, light suppers or more formal dinners, using local produce wherever possible. We provide the boats, the sailing race courses, race officials and boatmen who ensure your sailing experience is professionally delivered. Experienced helms from Sea View Yacht Club can also act as skippers for less-experienced charterers.

Established in 1988, Richardson’s Yacht Services has retained its status as a local, family run business with its core values at the heart of all operations. We simply wanted to share our love of all things boats. Building and servicing yachts is what we’re good at, and it’s what we do. Our current location remains on the Isle of Wight at Island Harbour Marina, situated on the River Medina. We have progressively expanded over the years and now have the great pleasure of offering a wide range of services for you and your boat. In simpler terms, we offer boat owners a “one stop” facility for all craft up to 50 tons.

Set in a beautiful and secluded valley, yet in a central location, Island Harbour is the perfect base from which to explore the Island and the Solent. Facilities at the harbour are much improved with the recent installation of a brand new free wi-fi network. The hardstanding areas have also been upgraded and have water and electricity. The pontoons have been refurbished and benefit from fresh water, power, and lighting. In addition, there is extensive, free of charge waterside car parking. The marina has a depth of 2.5 metres following the dredging operation of the lock. The locked marina is a natural haven during the winter months, both afloat and ashore. There is ample hard standing for winter storage and Richardsons, the on site boatyard provide most of the services you will need.
