The Orwell Yacht Club (OYC), originally founded in 1918, is today a thriving club that offers exceptional facilities to its five hundred or so members. It is located in Ostrich Creek that it shares with Fox’s marina at the head of the beautiful River Orwell. Ostrich creek is dredged giving deep water access to the river from the Clubhouse and making it easily accessible at all states of the tide. OYC is a Club that is entirely run by Members, for Members, making it possible to keep costs to a minimum so that all Members can enjoy excellent facilities at affordable rates.

Viking Mariners is situated at the Historic Waterfront in Ipswich on the beautiful River Orwell. Iken Canoe is a small and friendly canoe and kayak hire centre based on the stunning upper reaches of the Alde estuary between Snape and Aldeburgh, close to the Suffolk coast. We hire out canoes, kayaks and stand up paddleboards (SUPs) for people to explore this wonderful stretch of river at their leisure. Discover creeks and flood waters, or gently glide with the tide at low water and get up close to seals basking on the mud banks as well as observing a multitude of different wading birds.

Ideal for day trips, family parties, music nights, catered cruises and private charter. Orwell Lady has an open, seated, top viewing deck and fully enclosed lower saloon with panoramic viewing windows. Orwell Lady regularly cruises from Ipswich, along Suffolk’s River Orwell, past Pin Mill and down to the UK’s largest container port at Felixstowe, as well as the historic Port of Harwich. Orwell Lady cruises run between Easter and October each year, with private charters available until December.
