Camber has a large beach which is split into zones. The kitesurfing zone is at the eastern end of the beach. It starts at the black and white flag (also starting point of sea defence) and runs ease towards the MOD range. 3 schoolcs are permitted to teach in Camber and have specific teaching areas. The primary one starts at the black and white flag and runs west to the start of the Suttons (houses).
Camber is very tidal and it is not possible to kite within 2.5hrs either side of high tide. Wait for the tide to drop before kiting.
Hazards:
- Sea defence (rocks, walkway, steps)
- Groynes
- shipwreck to eastern end of kiting zone (observe at low tide and speak to other kiters/instructors)
☆ Do not launch land close to the rocks. Launch at waters edge with kite over water ☆
