Get ready for the winter ski season — check the list of European snow camps for pros and beginners
If you want to learn how to ski or snowboard or need to improve your already good skills in this winter ski season, why don’t you go to a snow camp? There are many of them based in Europe.
Important: Given the still difficult travel situation in the world in 2022, check separately the possibility of going to a particular country, its regions, and local outdoor spots for you before the trip on the official tourist and other sites.
Snow Camps Europe — beginners, pros
Ski camps named for the best Google search you could think of when you write a review offer a lot of opportunities for beginners, improvers and “skiing moguls” (every category of snow lovers will be able to apply for the needed ski camp). The camps welcome new beginners and improvers groups every week during the season and have scheduled dates for tech (pro) groups. Usually, camp training lasts for 5 days and costs start from 705 Euros a person.
The project also offers camps for those who like to observe nature or want to relax and have social activities. There are special camps for women and elderly people as well.
Crazy Snow Camps — beginners
Crazy Snow Camps offers not only skiing and snowboarding but many other social activities including yoga, meditation and cooking, so you should not expect really hard and exhausting training and improving your skills there. But who said that skiing was for hard work only? Camps are scheduled for January 2020 and for March 2020 and are going to take place in a sport resort in Switzerland. The expected price is 395 Euros per person. Feel free to check with their website — they offer some discounts there.
Ski Instructor Academy — pros
The “umbrella project” offers a lot of opportunities for skiers and snowboarders. Advanced coaching ski camps are among them. Aimed for improvers or pros, the camps are located in Austria, cost from 240 Euros a person and welcome newcomers every week in February and March.
Maverix Snow — beginners, pros
This project is for snowboarders. They offer camps in Austria, Sweden and France. Available dates depend on the country and so does the price. These camps (called “adventures”) are for those who not only need to practice their snow taming skills but would love to explore new locations. The project also offers a week-long indoor snowboard-coaching camp in Holland.
Austria Racing Camps — pros
There are a lot of options for improvers and pros at these camps. For example, the project offers week-long Elite Winter Camps “specially geared to intensive, individual training”. You will have no free time there — only learning and racing. The price is not placed online but you can request it on the project’s website.
Groups in the camps are expected to be small — every coach would have 3 to 6 students. However, if it is still too much for you, you may apply for private camps. These camps are even more “you-oriented”.
Real Snowboarding Winter Camps — pros
This camp is for improvers. The project states that participants should have intermediate or advanced levels. It also states that it aims to establish snowboarders’ confidence, progress their ability and develop their style. The camp that will take place in March 2020 is priced £979 per person.
