Wind barbs
Forecast wind direction and speed at the same time in a familiar for any sailor format for displaying the wind field on a map.
Why this feature is useful to you:
- The forecast is as accurate as possible. In Windy.app wind barbs located in the nodes of the weather model grid — the points on the map where the weather is predicted. This excludes interpolation (forecast errors).
- It is a unique feature of Windy.app in this implementation. You will not find it in other weather forecast mobile apps for sailing.
- Forecast updated every 3 hours. The barbs snown from one of the 10+ weather forecast models used in the app.
