Spot Features: Manasquan Inlet is the inlet connecting Manasquan River and Barnegat Bay to the Atlantic Ocean at Point Pleasant Beach in Monmouth County, New Jersey, with the famous Manasquan jetties that concentrate striped bass and bluefish and the inlet channels that hold summer flounder and black sea bass. Standard Jersey Shore inlet fishing techniques apply for all species. Seasonality: Summer flounder (fluke) are the primary target at Manasquan Inlet from June through August. Bluefish are abundant through summer and fall. Black sea bass are available on the inlet's rocky jetties through the warmer months. Striped bass are the premier target in spring and fall.
