Evgeniy Petrov is a meteorologist with several years of professional experience from Moscow, Russia.
He has a Master’s degree from the Faculty of Geography of Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) in Meteorology and Climatology.
He has published scientific works in Russian and international magazines, with specialization on extreme weather.
In addition to Windy.app, he works at the Russian State Research Institute of Agricultural Meteorology. Before he has worked at the Hydrometcenter of Russia, the main Russian meteorological institution, as a head meteorologist. He also had an experience of running the Laboratory of Global Weather.
His favorite sports are skiing, bicycling and hiking.
