Spot overview and travel information

Pinnacles National Park is one of California's national parks, located near the town of Soledad just east of the famous wine-producing Salinas Valley. The main feature of the park that gave it its name is the numerous rock formations — the weathered remains of an extinct volcano in the San Andreas Fault. These rock formations made spectacular pinnacles that attract rock climbers to the park. There are also unusual talus caves in the area.
