Spot Features: Carrabelle in Franklin County, Florida, on the Carrabelle River and the Apalachee Bay, is a small fishing village on the Nature Coast/Panhandle border, with excellent access to the productive Apalachee Bay grass flats for redfish, spotted seatrout, flounder, sheepshead, and gag grouper fishing in one of the least-developed coastal communities in Florida. Seasonality: Redfish (red drum) and spotted seatrout are the primary inshore targets at Carrabelle in Franklin County, Florida, year-round, with redfish best in fall and seatrout most productive in spring and fall. Flounder and sheepshead are cool-season species. Gag grouper are nearshore spring and fall fish accessible from the Carrabelle area.
