Tip #15. Сhange the order of the weather elements in the forecast table

Among 100+ Windy.app features, there are always one or two, or even three small ones that you didn't know about, right? Even if you're a true weather and outdoor expert using the app. Meanwhile, these may be small, but important features.

For example, you can change the order of the weather elements in the forecast table, including the basic and advanced ones. Why change the order? This way, the weather elements you need most will be at the top of the table (and the less important ones, respectively, in the middle and bottom) and you won't have to search for them, especially if the table is large. It will save you time when reading the forecast and making various decisions.

Here's exactly how you can do it:

1. Open your favorite spot or the one closest to your location from the Home screen of the application or from the Weather map. In the latter case, first, enable the geolocation function in the app's main Settings. Let’s take the Passo di Falzarego bike spot in the Dolomites in Italy or the nearby Passo Giau as an example.

2. Activate the Bike weather profile through the icon on the right side of the weather models under the wind rose.

3. In the profile you see a set of weather elements that are included. They are in the order in which you see them in the weather forecast table on the spot screen. You can change their order.

4. To move a weather element to the top of the table, just click on it, hold it and move it up or down. Do the same with other elements by swapping them as you like. For example, in the screenshot below we’ve moved Bike riding temperature to the top of the table to make it the first element all cyclists need.

5. Important: when you move the first parameter, the app will automatically create your custom weather profile, which you can rename to your liking as well. So your new weather forecast table with the elements in the order you want will be in this profile, not the main one.

6. Go back to the spot page to see how the elements in the trable now look.

7. Recall that you can also access the Customization of weather profiles by clicking on the three dots at the top of the screen to the right of the spot name or through the Customize forecast button below the weather forecast table.
