Tip #12. Find out the weather for the past 10 days

Among 100+ Windy.app features, there are always one or two, or even three small ones that you didn't know about, right? Even if you're a true weather and outdoor expert using the app. Meanwhile, these may be small, but important features.

For example, you can find out what the weather has been like for the past 10 days. Why would I need a weather forecast from the past? In this way, you will get an idea of how the weather changes over time. You will see the patterns of wind behavior, air temperature ups and downs, precipitation amount, and other weather parameters. Knowing all of this, you can better understand how much you can trust the weather forecast. The weather forecast in the application is available for the next 10 days. Thanks to past weather, you get a forecast for 20 days in total, that’s almost a month, which is a lot for weather forecasting.

Here’s exactly how you can do it:

1. Open your favorite spot or the nearest one to your current location from the Home screen of the app or the Weather map.

2. Click on the arrow pointing to the left of the wind bar below the weather models slider and above the forecast table.

3. Now you see the weather forecast for the previous 10 days. Select the day and time to get data on wind, temperature, precipitation, and more.

4. The same is available to you on the Weather map for the world. The difference with the forecast table is that it gives you a bigger weather picture.

5. To return to the weather forecast for the next 10 days, click on the arrow pointing to the right of the calendar scale.

6. Go back to the spot or find a new one and go to the Weather history (Archive) section under the weather forecast table for more weather history data.

7. Here you can get wind parameters as well as temperature, precipitation, and atmospheric pressure for each day for the past 10 years.
